Encompass Medical EMR version 3.6.8 is now released. Encompass Medical EMR is an internet-based Electronic Medical Record system that is supported by a Microsoft SQL database.

Release 3.6.8 provides users with an electronic calendar interface with standard GUI features for the handling all aspects of patient appointments. This software version also provides a patient registration interface and insurance coverage confirmation with a Medicaid database. In addition, there is a complete patient Medical Record interface that enables healthcare staff to take patient vitals; take a complete health history; conduct a complete health exam; enter diagnoses; create treatment plans against specific diagnoses; and manage patient follow up care. Built into this process is a comprehensive billing system that automatically identifies charges based on data entered during the patient encounter. This billing interface is designed to work in concert with outside billing firms.

In Release 3.6.8 all billing information can be transmitted electronically to the billing firm. Additionally, the billing interface also captures all monies paid by patients at a clinic site so that daily / weekly deposits can be reconciled against valid billing reports that track daily intakes.
